I. Overview of the Specialty

The Department of Obstetrics is among the first “Baby-Friendly Hospitals” in Chinaserves as the “CriticalSevere PregnantPostpartum Women Rescue Center” in Hengyang. It is also the first “Chinese Center for the PreventionTreatment of Female Pelvic Floor Dysfunction” in Hengyang. In 2020, it was recognized as a “MaternalInfant Safety Hospital” by Hunan Province,in 2022, it was designated as a provincial specialty for perinatal health care.

The Midwifery Clinic integrates clinical care, teaching, research,rehabilitation guidance, providing expectantnew mothers with one-stop support from pregnancy to childbirthparenting. The clinic is dedicated to increasing natural delivery rates, reducing the risk of complications,improving the overall childbirth experience. Consultations are provided by midwives who hold maternalchild health qualification certificates, have over 10 years of delivery experience,possess intermediatesenior professional titles.
