The Wound, Ostomy,Incontinence Specialty Clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of University of South China officially opened in 2011. It is one of the earliest nursing specialty clinics established in Hunan Provincethe first clinic of its kind in Hengyang, dedicated to wound, ostomy,incontinence care. The clinic operates under the hospital’s Burn, Plastic,Wound Repair Center, integrating medical care, teaching,research. Focusing on patient needs, it is committed to addressing complex issues related to wounds, ostomies,incontinence.

Specialty Highlights

Specialized Wound Management Techniques: the Clinic utilizes internationally advancedglobally recommended moist wound healing therapy as the primary treatment approach, combined with advanced technologies such as pressure therapy, vacuum sealing drainage (VSD), micro-oxygen therapy,ultrasonic debridement for the management of complex chronic wounds.

Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Model: the Clinic collaborates with multiple departments—including BurnPlastic Surgery, Urology, Gastrointestinal Surgery, CardiothoracicVascular Surgery, ObstetricsGynecology, Orthopedics, Outpatient Surgery, Endocrinology,Dermatology—to provide integrated diagnosistreatment for complex woundsostomy-related issues, earning the trustrecognition of patientstheir families.

Online Consultation Platform: the Clinic provides ostomy patients with timely responses to questionsprofessional guidance,hosts annual networking events for ostomy patients to foster supportcommunication.

Scope of Services:

Wound Management: Treatment of various acutechronic wounds, including traumatic wounds, postoperative infected wounds, fat liquefaction, burnsscalds, pressure injuries, arterialvenous ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, gouty tophi wounds,malignant wounds.

Ostomy Care: Management of ileostomies, colostomies,urostomies, as well as peristomal complications. Services include consultation on ostomy care products, dietarydaily living guidance,psychological support.

Incontinence Care: Guidance on skin carepreventionmanagement of incontinence-associated dermatitis.

Jiang Honghui graduated from the University of South China in 2017has since specialized in the diagnosistreatment of various wounds. He has completed advanced training in woundostomy care techniques, vacuum sealing drainage (VSD),micro-oxygen therapy at the General Hospital of Eastern Theater Command, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital of Zhejiang University,the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. In 2019, he completed his studies at the Zhengzhou International Enterostomal Therapist Schoolearned his international certification as an Enterostomal Therapist. He is skilled in managing various acutechronic complex wounds, with particular clinical experience in treating diabetic foot ulcers. He has also participated in multiple national academic conferences on wound, ostomy,incontinence care.
