As one of the first pilot hospitals for DRG payment reform in Hengyang, Hunan Province, the First Affiliated Hospital of University of South China has seized the reform opportunity. It has leveraged big data information systems to enhance efficiencyempower operations, improved closed-loop management of data quality,implemented a full-cycle supervision (pre-/intra-/post-treatment). The hospital has also established a team of specialist operation assistants in clinical departments to facilitate communication channels, ensuring accurate interpretation of medical insurance policies, proper execution of management requirements,strict implementation of medical fund supervision. With DRG as a key driver, the hospital incorporated core CMI indicatorsits internal "performance appraisalrewardpunishment mechanism", combined with the DRG payment control method for drug/consumables expenditure, to precisely compare the cost structuresRW value trends across departmentsdisease groups, collectively advancing the hospitals refined medical insurance assessments.
