Hair transplantation involves harvesting healthy follicular units from a donor site on the patient’s own body, followed by meticulous separationpreparation of the follicles, which are then implantedthe subcutaneous tissue of a designated recipient site on the same individual. After implantation, the follicles retain all the biological characteristics of the original hair and, following a recovery period, will growhealthy hair that does not shed.

Indications:

1. Hair loss due to seborrheic (androgenetic), hereditary, postpartum,disease-related causes, among others;

2. Hair loss resulting from scarring caused by burns, scalds,trauma;

3. Cosmetic correction of conditions such as sparse haireyebrows, high hairlines, temporal recessions,areas needing density enhancement (e.g., widow’s peak, sideburns);

4. Restoration of hair in special areas lacking body hair (e.g., pubic region, chest, beard).

Technical Advantages:

1. High Graft Survival Rate – Hair transplant procedures utilize microscopesmicrosurgical techniques to extract high-viability follicular units from the occipital donor area without damaging scalpnerve tissue. The transplanted follicles demonstrate a high survival ratesignificantly improve hair density. After recovery, transplanted hair can be washedgroomed normally.

2. Natural Appearance – The implanted hair can closely match normal hair density. Surgeons follow the natural growth patternsdirection of the patient’s hair, resulting in a realisticaesthetically pleasing outcome.

3. SafePainless – As the grafts are taken from the patient’s own body, there is no risk of immune rejectionadverse reactions. The procedure has a short duration, is safecomfortable. Patients can relax, listen to music,engage in conversation during surgery.

4. No Visible Scarring – The procedure is refinedminimally invasive, leaving no visible scars. Hospitalization is not required,patients can resume normal workdaily activities shortly after.

Implementation at Our Hospital:

Since 2003, our hospital has continually refinedadvanced its hair transplantation services, currently performing over 100 cases of microscopic single-unit hair transplantation annually. The procedure is now widely used in clinical treatment of various types of hair loss. When combined with adjunct therapies such as laser treatmentPRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) injections, significant clinical improvements are achieved. Foundational researchfollicular biology, surgical techniques,instrumentation has made steady progress in recent years. Further breakthroughs are expected in advanced areas such as follicular cloningallogeneic hair transplantation.
